We’re discovering an unknown continent, no one even knew we were looking for. We find ourselves exploring, getting lost, stumbling into new experiences. In the end, will the journey be worth the trouble?

This music is meant to tell stories and inspire the listener’s imagination, alongside the beautiful artwork by Norbert Grimm. It wants to create an easy entry point to experimental music especially for kids and teenagers, and those who hadn’t discovered it yet.

This album contains works by Marius Bajog, Arlet Miguélez Álvarez, Stefan Oberle, Juno And Their Future Sound Of Nowhere, Fabian Bentrup, and Lukas Tobiassen. Excerpts of it were used in the movie Postings by Lina Schmeink.

All the performers of the Kontinent ensemble have at some point studied at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen, Germany. Special thanks to Folkwang for bringing us together!
